Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009081025A2] The invention relates to a casing for an electric protection apparatus of the circuit-breaker type that comprises a base (1) and a primary lid (2) defining the body of the apparatus, as well as a secondary lid (3) pivoting on the front (11) of the primary lid (2), from which protrudes the control handle (5), between an opening position exposing said front (11) and a closing position covering the same. The pivot hinge of the secondary lid (3) on the primary lid (2) includes coaxial end studs (8) arranged laterally to one of the ends (9) of the secondary lid (3), wherein said studs (8) are capable of pivoting and sliding, in a plane parallel to that of the front (11), into housings (10) of the primary lid (2). The primary (2) and secondary lids (3) include a single means for controlling the sliding of the secondary lid (3) on the primary lid (2) when it is folded back into contact with the latter, between a locking position where the securing means is activated, and an unlocking position where said means are deactivated and pivoting is permitted.
