Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2221124A2] The method involves painting a metal sheet at one side or two sides using a splashy paint for forming a painted outer door (10), a lid and a wall of a household device. The painted metal sheet is shaped using deep drawing, punching, stamping or drilling processes. The shaped sheet is folded. Side edges are formed from a flat, planar or curved region of the metal sheet such that the side edges run at a preset angle to the flat, planar or curved region, where the angle ranges between 80 and 100 degrees.
