[origin: EP2223724A1] The element (1) has a cylindrical filter body (2) made of a star shaped folded filter material (4) and radially inwardly supported at a cylindrical inner frame (3). A cylindrical sleeve (11) is permeable for a hydraulic agent and lies at the filter body radially outwards by prestressing. The filter material is fitted at the inner frame, and the sleeve is made of a perforated or punched sleeve material and of a fleece material and a shrinking material. The shrinking material is formed such that the shrinking material exhibits large shrinking in a circumferential direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a hydraulic filter element.
