Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2224090A2] The fire-resistant locking device (10) has a closing element (12) for closing an opening. The closing element has sections (14.1,14.2). An intumescent material is arranged between a front surface (18.1) and a rear surface (20.1). The front surface and the rear surface are connected such that a volume increase of the intumescent material is guided to a shift of the front surface relative to the rear.
