Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2224458A2] The cable (1) has a PTFE insulation enclosing an electrical conductor (2) and provided with inner and outer claddings (3, 4). The inner cladding is directly provided on the conductor and made of PTFE modified by thermoplastic polymer such as thermoplastic deformable fluoropolymer, polyphenyl sulfide, polyetherketone, polyetheretherktone, polyetherimide and polyethersulfone. The claddings have concentric mold bodies that are commonly extruded on the conductor. The conductor is provided with an external polymer coating. The mold bodies are provided with a central borehole. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrical cable.
