Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009079974A2] The invention relates to a bearing point for mounting a rotating workpiece in a bearing seat. Said bearing point comprises a radial roller bearing which encompasses an internal ring that has an external raceway, an external ring that has an internal raceway, and a plurality of rolling elements that roll along the internal and external raceway. The invention further relates to a method for producing an external ring of a radial roller bearing for a bearing point according to the invention. In order to prevent the radial roller bearing from overheating while simply and inexpensively reducing the risk of slipping, the external ring of the disclosed bearing point has a joint line that runs along the axial extension of the external ring, the radial roller bearing is radially preloaded in the assembled state, and the bearing seat is designed such that the external ring located in the bearing seat can expand when a force is applied that acts outward in a radial direction.
