The spring exhibits a form of a hollow strand profile, where an outer casing (4) of the profile forms all spring components. The outer casing exhibits a wall thickness and forms a closed line in cross section. The spring is manufactured with different elastic couch zones from different plastic material, polymer compounds and/or wall thickness for varying spring stiffness of the mattress.
