The partition wall has a separating element with an upper plate (2) and a lower plate (4). The lower plate is formed horizontal in a plane, by which an internal space (8) is separated from an outer space (10). The upper plate and the lower plate are offset from each other in the horizontal direction at a predetermined distance. The upper and the lower plate are firmly connected with each other by a connecting body (6).

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Trennwand, insbesondere eine Duschtrennwand, enthaltend ein in einer horizontalen Ebene geteilt ausgebildetes Trennelement mit einer oberen Platte (2) und einer unteren Platte (4), mittels welchen ein Innenraum (8) von einem Außenraum (10) abtrennbar ist. Die Trennwand soll mit einem geringen konstruktiven Aufwand dahingehend weitergebildetwerden, dass eine feststehende Anordnung und eine verbesserte Funktionalität erreicht werden, wobei ein geringer Fertigungs- und Montageaufwand erforderlich sein sollen. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass die obere Platte (2) und die der untere Platte (4) in horizontaler Richtung in einem vorgegebenen Abstand (22) gegeneinander versetzt angeordnet sind und dass die obere und die untere Platte (2, 4) mit einem Verbindungskörper (6) fest miteinander verbunden ist.
