[origin: EP2226285A1] The lift cabin (2) has a catching device (16) arranged in the cabin by an adjusting device (47), where the adjusting device exhibits an operating position and a maintenance position (Sp). The catching device is arranged at a distance proximate to the cabin in the operating position, where the catching device is arranged at another distance away from the cabin in the maintenance position. The adjusting device is connected with a scale or a display that indicates the distance of the catching device to the cabin. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting and maintaining a catching device in a lift system.
