The pump has a free flow wheel arranged in a housing, and a blade-free chamber formed between the free flow wheel and an inlet-sided housing wall. The free flow wheel has blades (7) arranged at a support plate (6), where the blades have pressure-sided side surfaces (13), suction-sided side surfaces (11) and front surfaces (12). The blades are provided with cutting edges (14) that are formed by grinding or rotating the front surfaces of the blades, where the front surfaces and the side surfaces stand at an angle of less than 90 degrees to each other.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kreiselpumpe zur Förderung eines mit festen Beimengungen versetzten Mediums. Im Gehäuse (1) der Pumpe ist ein Freistromrad (2) angeordnet. Zwischen dem Freistromrad (2) und der einlassseitigen Gehäusewand (8) wird ein schaufelfreier Raum (9) gebildet. Auf der Tragscheibe (6) des Freistromrades (2) sind Schaufeln (7) angeformt. Die Schaufeln (7) umfassen druckseitige Seitenflächen (13), saugseitige Seitenflächen (11) und Vorderflächen (12). Erfindungsgemäß sind die Schaufeln (7) mit Schneidkanten (14) versehen.
