Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009095558A3] The invention relates to a depilation head for a depilation apparatus with tearing clamps driven by an electric motor and including a roller (1a) rotatingly mounted about a longitudinal axis thereof. The roller includes at least one row (2) of peripheral tearing clamps, each clamp including at least one mobile blade (5) interacting alternatively with an opposite bearing surface in order to clamp the hairs and to release them, a tubular cage (10a) carrying the tearing clamps and coaxial with a central shaft (12a) including at least one notch (14) of a cam (5a) defining a guiding path for the mobile blade (5) during the rotation of the cage (10a) relative to the central shaft (12a), and a peripheral longitudinal bar (17a) mounted above the row (2) of tearing clamps and including a window (18) through which the mobile blade (5) extends. According to the invention, said window (18) is defined on one side by a radial wall defining a bearing surface for the mobile blade (5) during the alternating movement thereof.
