[origin: WO2009076978A1] An implant (10) is described which is designed for use for adjacently arranged bone plates and which has a first bearing part (12), a second bearing part (14), and a coupling element (16) for coupling the first bearing part to the second bearing part with tensile strength. The bearing parts are concavely curved and have a plurality of ribs which extend radially outwards from a central section of the respective bearing part. The upper bearing part has a main body and an inset connected to the latter by means of at least one connecting element. The connecting element is supported on the coupling element in respect of a movement to a release position. Moreover, the upper bearing part has a deflectable securing element which is supported on the upper bearing part during a movement of the upper bearing part away from the lower bearing part.
