[origin: WO2009086867A1] The invention relates to a device for treating bottles or similar containers, having a rotor rotatably supported about a machine axis (VA) by means of a rotating connection, and comprising at least container holders (6), the rotating connection comprising at least one first bearing element (13) provided on the machine frame (3) and a second bearing element (14) provided on the rotor (4), bearing means being provided in at least one bearing gap (34) formed between the bearing elements (13, 14) and allowing a relative motion between the bearing elements (13, 14) while simultaneously transferring bearing forces, characterized in that the rotational connection is at least one sliding bearing (12), and that the at least one bearing gap (34) can be acted on by a sliding fluid under pressure, forming the bearing means in the form of a hydrostatic and/or hydrodynamic sliding bed.
