The method involves delivering a reaction liquid on a denaturing temperature, annealing temperature and elongation temperature. The temperature of the reaction liquid is changed by mixing with a warmer or cooler liquid. Parts of the reaction liquid are mixed for the temperature change. Ratio between liquid volumes of the part of the liquids is adjusted such that the elongation temperature is maintained by mixing the warmer liquid with the cooler liquid. One of the parts of the reaction liquid is heated in a region of a chamber (1) in the annealing temperature. An independent claim is also included for a chamber for implementing a polymerase chain reaction.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Durchführung einer Polymerase-Kettenreaktion, bei dem eine Reaktionsflüssigkeit zyklisch auf Denaturierungstemperatur, Annealingstemperatur und Elongationstemperatur gebracht wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Teil der Reaktionsflüssigkeit auf Denaturierungstemperatur gebracht wird, ein anderer Teil der Reaktionsflüssigkeit auf Annealingstemperatur gebracht wird und die beiden Teile der Reaktionsflüssigkeiten zwecks Temperaturveränderung gemischt werden. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner eine Kammer zur Durchführung des Verfahrens, die einen ersten und zweiten Bereich umfasst, wobei der erste Bereich mit einem Heizmittel der Kammer erwärmt und der zweite Bereich mit einem Kühlmittel der Kammer zeitgleich gekühlt werden kann.
