Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2228332A1] The device has receiver units (10, 12) for receiving an object (100) fed in a feed direction (F1). The receiver units have an entry opening (16) with an entry opening width (W1) measured transverse to the feed direction, and an abutment (15) for an object edge leading in the feed direction. A controllable narrowing element (20) reduces an opening width (W2) of the receiver units in a region between the opening and the abutment, during an active condition. A control device (30) is arranged to bring the narrowing element in the region of a take-over location (S1) into the active condition. An independent claim is also included for a method for carrying a flexible, flat object i.e. printed product.
