[origin: WO2009086967A1] The invention relates to a method for displaying the environment of a vehicle, particularly a motor vehicle, by means of at least one display device of the vehicle, wherein the environment is detected while driving or during standstill of the vehicle by at least one detection sensor as an environmental image. The invention provides that an environmental image each is determined of a certain environmental region in different vehicle positions by means of the detection sensor and/or at least one environmental image is determined of the certain environmental region by means of at least two detection sensors positioned at a distance from each other, wherein a composite environmental image is obtained from the environmental images and is displayed by the display device. The invention further relates to a device for displaying the environment of a vehicle.
