[origin: EP2230337A1] The comb (1) has a comb fitting (5) with teeth (Z), which are arranged together, attached to a carrier (2). The comb fitting comprises a dimension between 50 and 65 tooth/cm. A base region (7) of the teeth ends in a common rod (8). The comb fitting consists of fitting elements (5a-5c), which are arranged together in a row. The carrier is connected with a top comb holder, and the comb fitting is attached to the carrier by screws or by bonding or by welding with the carrier. The teeth are attached to the carrier by rivets (4). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a comb fitting for a top comb.
