Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2230363A1] The method involves perforating a sheet metal flank by forming rectangular openings. Edges of the openings are projected with respect to the flank on a same flank surface (2013) for pressing the edges of the openings using a round cross-sectional tool, where the pressed edges are in bulge and convex shape. The flank is folded along a folding line (203) to form a nosing, such that the flank surface forms an upper surface of a step of a staircase. Anti-slip reliefs (210) constituted by the pressed edges are formed on the upper surface. An independent claim is also included for a metallic staircase's step formed from a sheet metal flank.
