[origin: WO2009095577A1] The invention relates to a device for lifting and moving an object (4), that comprises a crane (1) including a link (8, 8a- 8b) capable of holding said object suspended thereto, said link (8, 8a- 8b) being provided with an inertial unit (6) connected to a computer (20) to which are sent the recorded data of the longitudinal accelerations of said inertial unit in the three directions of a mobile co-ordinate system (Xc, Yc, Zc) and of the rotational accelerations (f l, f2, f3) of said inertial unit relative to the same axes of the mobile co-ordinate system (Xc, Yc, Zc) of said inertial unit, wherein the computer is capable of indicating, from the position and orientation of the inertial unit, the position and the orientation of the object suspended to said link in a fixed space co-ordinate system (X, Y, Z), and said computer is preferably capable of displaying the movements of said object in space on a screen.
