[origin: EP2233053A2] The device (1) has a filter medium (4) connected with a supporting structure by using an injection molding tool, where parallel planes are provided for enclosing surface perpendicular (6) of the filter medium. The filter medium is made from laminar material, and comprises a rectangular section, where the filter device is arranged downstream of a dust separating unit of a vacuum cleaner. Main and auxiliary filter surfaces (10, 12) formed by the filter medium comprise additional material e.g. moisture-absorbing material, and a fixing unit fixes the filter device to the vacuum cleaner.
