[origin: EP2233841A2] The gas hob has a cooking field plate made of stainless steel, where the plate has a recess for retaining a burner. The plate is formed such that the burner is surrounded by a concentric outer deformation (5) and a concentric inner deformation (6). The outer deformation is formed in a radial direction such that the plate is lowered to a level, where the level is increased after crossing a bottom. The level of the plate lies outside of the outer deformation and within the inner deformation at same height. A diameter of each of the deformations is larger than a diameter of the burner.
