Abstract (en)

The application relates to secure identification documents and a method for securing such identification documents. The identification document comprises a body (20) and at least one overlay (21,22) covering at least one of its main surfaces, said main surface carrying official personalization data (26), said document further comprising at least one see-through portion (23) and graphical anti-counterfeiting means (25) enabling to prove any attempt of fraudulent modification or personalization of said document. The graphical anti-counterfeiting means are remarkable in that they are created in three dimensions, in such a manner that they extend from one side of said document to the opposite side, through the thickness of said at least one see-through portion (23).
