A detergent for Kraft pulp, containing a nonionic surfactant containing at least one compound expressed by any of the following general formulae 1 to 3: €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒR 1 O-(PO) n -[(EO) m ·(PO) k ]H€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒGeneral Formula 1 €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒR 2 -CO-(AO) y -OR 3 €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒGeneral Formula 2 wherein the detergent is used for washing a raw material of pulp after decomposing a lignin substance contained in the cooked raw material of pulp using oxygen, and wherein the nonionic surfactant has a clouding point lower than a washing temperature during washing of the raw material of pulp.
