[origin: WO2009098069A1] The invention relates to a profile for window or door frames consisting of a multi-chamber, extruded hollow profile (1, 10) made of a thermoplastic material and a reinforcement system (2, 6, 7, 14, 15) consisting of at least one plastic strip that is connected at least locally to said hollow profile. The invention is characterised in that said reinforcement system (2, 6, 7, 14, 15) is profiled for forming a positive fit with the hollow profile (1, 10), that is active in a frame level, by shaping projections such as strips or similar, protruding in the transverse direction of the reinforcement system, and the positive-fit connection of the reinforcement system (2, 6, 7, 14, 15) and the hollow profile (1, 10) is obtained by profiling of the reinforcement system.
