The roller (1) has a body comprising a suction opening (9) that leads in a suction channel (8), and an inner cylinder (3) i.e. hollow cylinder, that comprises a cover (4) on an outer peripheral surface. The suction channel and the suction opening are arranged in the cover. The inner cylinder comprises a material e.g. fiber composite material such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic or ceramic material, with a ratio of modulus of elasticity and density greater than or equal to eighty thousand. The cover is made of a metallic material or a pressure-resistant plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating a material web by a rolling coil suction roller.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Rollenwicklersaugwalze (1) mit einem Korpus (2), der Saugöffnungen (9) aufweist, die in mindestens einen Saugkanal (8) münden, wobei der Korpus (2) einen Innenzylinder (3) aufweist. Zur Erhöhung der Steifigkeit der Rollenwicklersaugwalze und damit zu einer Erhöhung der Resonanzdrehzahl weist der Innenzylinder (3) auf seiner äußeren Umfangsfläche eine Beschichtung (4) auf, wobei der Saugkanal (8) und die Saugöffnungen (9) in der Beschichtung (4) angeordnet sind.
