Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2239456A1] The device (1) has a kick starter (19) arranged for starting a combustion engine by a driving ring (33), and an electric motor arranged for driving the starter in rotation. An electromagnetic contactor (17) has a mobile assembly arranged for displacing the starter along a longitudinal axis. A unidirectional retarding device retards displacement along the longitudinal axis of the mobile assembly. The starter is in a tip-to-tip position against a driving column of the combustion engine.
