[origin: WO2009087209A1] The present invention relates to an apparatus (10) for the manufacture of an emulsion (20). The emulsion (20) consists of oil (21) and water (22). The apparatus (10) comprises a housing (30) with a first inlet (40) for oil (21) and a second inlet (50) for water (22). Furthermore the apparatus (10) comprises an outlet (60) on the housing (30) for the manufactured emulsion (20). Furthermore the apparatus (10) includes a cylindrical rotating element (70), which is at least partially enveloped by the housing (30). The cylindrical rotating element (70) has a section wise a shovel-shaped contoured thread (80) in a portion.
