[origin: WO2009098309A1] The invention relates to the use of a compound of general formula R-O-SO3 -R1R2R3NH+ in which R represents a saturated, unsaturated, branched or linear alkyl radical comprising 6 to 22 carbon atoms, and R1, R2, and R3, which can be identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom or a saturated, unsaturated, branched or linear hydroxyalkyl radical comprising 1 to 5 carbon atoms, for cleaning boreholes, drilling devices, or drill cuttings. The invention further relates to a method for cleaning surfaces of boreholes, drilling devices, or drill cuttings, a method for creating a borehole, and a method for producing an oil or gas.
