[origin: WO2009085008A1] The invention refers to a candle holder for fixing candles in a candlestick and comprising a sleeve (2) having mainly circular cross section provided in such a way that the diameter of the circular cross section is variable for a safe fixing of actual candle. The sleeve (2) comprises at least two slots (3) extending along the mantle surface (4) of said sleeve (2) from an upper end (5) of the sleeve (2) and up to a short distance from a lower end (6) of the sleeve (2) and at least two slots (7) extending along the mantle surface (4) of the sleeve (2) from said lower end (6) of the sleeve (2) and up to a short distance from said upper end (5), the first mentioned slots (3) being open upwards and the last mentioned slots (7) being open downwards.
