A profile (1) designed to be integrated in a composite thermal break system, comprising: - a support (2); - a first thermally expandable element (3) connected to the support (2). After predetermined heating, the first thermally expandable element (3) adopts an expanded configuration which is substantially maintained even after any cooling which may occur.
