Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2242329A2] The hob has energy transmission elements e.g. induction elements, activated independent of each other and arranged below a cooking plate (15). The energy transmission elements are provided with a pot detector. A marking (13) is provided for each energy transmission element at the cooking plate. The energy transmission elements are partially distributed in a flat pattern with a 3-fold symmetry on a surface of the cooking plate. The pattern exhibits an elementary cell in form of an isosceles triangle. Another marking is provided for the elementary cell at the cooking plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a hob.
