Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2243632A2] The brush (1) has a brush element (2) comprising a bristle trim (5) with harder and/or rigid bristles. The harder and/or rigid bristles are more wear-resistant in axial end areas (6, 8) of the brush element than in an axial middle area of the brush element. The bristles of the trim are held at a carrier (9) and arranged in recesses of a hollow cylindrical body (10) in a tuft-like manner. The brush element is rotatably arranged on a propelable shaft, and the carrier is helically arranged on the hollow cylindrical body. An independent claim is also included for a device for cleaning a printing cylinder of a printing machine.
