[origin: EP2243949A1] The injector has low and high pressure areas (2, 3) arranged in an injector body (1), where the high pressure area is connected with a combustion chamber by injection nozzles (9) that are controlled by a nozzle needle (8). The low pressure area is connected to a low pressure system by a return pipe (4), and an actuator (19) actuates the nozzle needle by a coupling bar (16). The coupling bar is pressurized by high pressure towards closing position of the nozzle needle. The coupling bar comprises plunger-type nozzle distal end.
