[origin: WO2009100816A1] Road finishing machines for multiple layers comprise two screeds (15, 24) attached behind the track laying gear (14) thereof. Due to the screeds (15, 24) arranged behind the track laying gear (14) in the mounting direction (13), the road finishing machine for multiple layers is tail-heavy. This has numerous disadvantages. The invention provides for a second drive (18) of the road finishing machine for multiple layers to be arranged in front of, next to and/or below a front reservoir (17) of the road finishing machine for multiple layers. Said second drive (18) thus is located in front of the track laying gear (14) which is to say on the opposite side of the screeds (15, 24). Thus, the second drive (18) contributes to improving the load distribution of the road finishing machine for multiple layers.
