[origin: WO2009103490A1] The invention relates to a control device for operating a rechargeable energy storage unit and for detecting operating data, and to a method for operating such a control device. The invention is described with reference to the use in a motor vehicle and to the control of the rechargeable energy storage unit thereof for supply of the electric drive of the motor vehicle. However, it should be noted that a device having the characteristics of the claims of the rechargeable energy storage unit may also be operated independently of motor vehicles, such as in stationary use.
