The present invention is concerned with a hair removal device that comprises a hair removal unit (120), a cap element (110) having a skin contacting surface (111) that extends at least on a side of the hair removal unit (120), and wherein elongated and elevated structures (112) are arranged on the skin contacting surface (111), which elongated and elevated structures (112) all extend essentially parallel to each other. Such a hair removal device is specifically beneficial for application on wet skin.
