Abstract (en)
A turbine engine component, such as a turbine blade, is described. The turbine engine component has an airfoil portion (42) with a tip region (34), a recessed shelf (36) in the tip region (34), and a plurality of slots (30) in the recessed shelf (36) through which a cooling fluid flows. The slots (30) are located along a pressure side (40) of the tip region (34).
