[origin: EP2246553A1] The injector has high pressure areas (2, 3) connected with a combustion chamber by nozzles (8) that are controlled by a servo-controlled nozzle needle (9). An actuator (20) controls pressure in a servo work space (15) of a servo piston (13), where partial cross section of the servo piston is pressurized by pressure in the high pressure areas against the pressure in the work space. The actuator is positively-coupled with a valve body (18) that controls a connection between an input side of the nozzles and the servo work space, where the work space communicates with the high pressure areas. The valve body is designed as a valve needle.
