[origin: DE102008045580B3] The compressor has a compression chamber with a profile continuing in stroke direction of a connecting-rod piston (8), where the profile has a plane that is aligned perpendicular to rotational direction of a crank shaft (11). The plane has inlet ports and exhaust ports. The connecting-rod piston closes the exhaust ports and opens the inlet ports, or opens the exhaust ports and closes the inlet ports, or closes both the exhaust and inlet ports over its angular position and its movement towards the crank shaft.
