A sawing device(1) for sawing automatically irregular shaped firewood trunks in almost equally sized trunks, consisting of a frame(2) with sawing blades(601,602), first toothed chain transporting means(4) and second toothed chain transporting means(5), extending above said first transporting means(4) and provided with pressing means(7) in order to guide firewood trunks through said sawing blades(601,602).
