[origin: EP2249086A1] The present invention relates to a kitchen arrangement comprising a metal worktop in which at least one through hole is provided, through which hole a gas burner extends, at least when used. A through slot is provided in the metal worktop, which through slot at least substantially surrounds said at least one through hole so as to define a heat zone in the worktop between said at least one through hole and the through slot. The present invention further relates to a method for providing a worktop for a kitchen.
