[origin: WO2009112078A1] According to the invention, the safety element for securing the slide (4) of a zipper (2) in the closed state of the zipper (2) comprises a housing shell (10) with a cover (20) disposed pivotally on the housing shell (10), wherein the housing shell (10) receives or encloses an end of the zipper (2) and comprises means for receiving the slide (4), which correspond to the cover (20) such that the slide (4) is fixed in the safety element in the closed state of the cover (20). Furthermore, a closure part (30) is configured, which comprises detent or clamping elements (36) that can be connected to the cover (20) and which comprises detent tongues (34'), which snap into corresponding detent cogs (12) of the housing shell (10) when closing the cover (20) and thereby hold the cover (20) in the closed state, wherein the closure part (30) has a one-piece design made of multiple members, which are connected to each other by webs. Due to this arrangement, in the closed state the slide (4) of the zipper (2) can be easily and reliably fixed in the safety element by closing the lid (20).
