[origin: WO2009109486A1] The invention relates to a cast-iron or aluminium sectional boiler, in particular a condensing boiler, having substantially annular sections, wherein a front section (1), a cover-like rear section (2) and at least one central section (3) are provided, said sections forming a combustion space (4) with substantially surrounding heating gas flues and the annular water spaces (5) of said sections being connected to one another via inner races (6, 6'), having a lower return connection and an upper feed connection and also having at least two armature rods (11) for holding the section block together. The invention is based on the object of optimizing a cast-iron or aluminium sectional boiler particularly in terms of compactness and robustness. The invention is characterized in that in each case annular gaps (7) are provided as heating gas flues between two adjacent sections (1, 2, 3) which each run approximately radially outwards, starting from the combustion space, and issue into an exhaust gas collection space on the outside of the sections.
