Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2250939A2] The panel has two outer cover plates, and a middle layer arranged between the cover plates. A chamber comprising a lighting unit (8) i.e. LED-lamp, is formed in the middle layer. The lighting unit is arranged at a front-sided longitudinal edge of the panel, and supply lines for the lighting unit are arranged in the middle layer. The lighting unit is covered by a transparent or translucent cover (9), and a retainer for batteries is provided in the middle layer, where the batteries are arranged at a rear-sided longitudinal edge of the panel. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a furniture panel.
