An electric power tool (50) includes: a motor (2) including a motor shaft (2e); a tip tool driven by the motor (2); a housing (1a) that houses the motor; a switching element (3a) for driving the motor; and a bearing (23) that can retain the motor shaft. The switching element (3a) is provided so as to overlap with the bearing (23) in a direction of the motor shaft (2e) inside the housing (1a).
