[origin: EP2251269A2] The method involves rotating an aligned container (1), where a characteristic (9) is detected on the container. An actual rotation of the container is calculated according to the detected characteristics. A control signal (S) is calculated for starting a desired orientation of the container. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for labeling containers; and (2) an apparatus for aligning the rotation position of containers, particularly bottles, and for use in a labeling machine.
