Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2251846A1] The fire alarm has a UV radiation sensor (8.1), infrared (IR) radiation sensor, a UV radiation source (9.1), IR radiation source and an optical window (7) arranged in a housing. A reflector protection cage or ring (2.1) is arranged over the optical window for protecting the optical window against mechanical effects. The protection cage or ring permits penetration of UV and IR radiations (16) through the optical window and reflects the UV and IR radiations at an inner side from an interior of the housing, where the protection cage or ring is exchangeable.
