[origin: WO2009112489A1] The invention relates to a mixing device (10) for mixing a first substance present in a first container with a second substance present in a second container. The containers are placed in adapters (12, 14) that can be removably connected together and are connected to one another by way of tubes (36) that pierce the containers. In order to prevent relative motion between the adapters in the assembled state, it is provided that the adapters are connected by way of latching recesses and associated latching protrusions extending along the peripheral walls (22) of the adapters.
