[origin: WO2009115082A1] The invention relates to a gate having an escape door that can be stabilized, comprising a gate plate and an escape door which is pivotally supported in an indentation extending from the lower gate edge of the gate plate and at least three base profiles, which are coaxially aligned at least in pairs and of which at least two are disposed on both sides of the indentation in the region of the lower gate edge, and of which at least one is fastened in the region of the lower edge of the escape door, and at least two longitudinal stabilizers, which can be displaced within the base profiles along the longitudinal axes thereof, wherein the stabilizers have backlash relative to the interior wall of the base profile surrounding them, and wherein at least two pressure plates are disposed on at least one stabilizer, which can be pressed against the interior wall of the base profile.
