Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009109452A1] A burner arrangement (10) comprises a tubular mixing device (13) which extends along an axis (15) in the direction of flow, extends into a combustion chamber (14), and is used for mixing fuel and air. First means (16) for preventing the fuel located in the mixing device (13) from backfiring are provided in the mixing device (13). Said first means encompass a film-type air ring (16) that is concentric to the axis (15) and generates or reinforces an air film near the wall. In order to definitely prevent backfiring in such a burner arrangement even when highly reactive fuels are used, the film-type air ring (16) has at least one annular gap for spraying in air, said annular gap being concentric to the axis (15).
